The Safe4RAIL-2 H2020 project will develop LTE devices suitable for a wireless train backbone, analyzing possible solutions for wireless communications within a consist, virtual coupling and 5G technologies for railways.
In this interview, the project coordinator, Technikon, speaks with Liesbet Van der Perre, a professor of Electrical Engineering Department of the KU Leuven. Her main research interests are in energy efficient wireless communication for IoT and beyond 5G systems.
