'Et hundeliv' (A dog's life) is a documantary in Danish about a Danish couple, Susan and Bo, and their life with 18 sled dogs - Siberian Huskies. Both have full time jobs, and it can first seems to be a very hectic and stressful life with both jobs and so many dogs, but during the film it becomes clear that it is the life with the dogs that gives Susan and Bo the energy to leave for work every day.
But a life with sled dogs is not an easy life in Denmark, so Susan and Bo have a dream which is about moving to Sweden where things would be more convenient.
Susan and Bo is fascinated by the history of these dogs, and the viewer will be instroduced both to a Siberian myth about the husky and the story about the popularity of this dog for races in Alaska not least during the Gold Rush in the 1920s.
