Project: Back to School is an annual effort by the Coalition for the Homeless to collect backpacks and other school supplies for children living in New York City shelters. In this news clip, courtesy of PIX11 News, Mr. G and the UFT's Michael Mulgrew help the Coalition distribute some of these backpacks to children in the Coalition's Bound for Success Program.
A special thank you to all of our partners in Project: Back to School, especially the United Federation of Teachers, Manhattan MiniStorage, AIG and PIX11 News. Together, we collected over 3,000 backpacks full of school supplies. coalitionforthehomeless.org
