An Evening with Roy Frumkes: The Definitive Document of the Dead, secret short films, and a Q&A.
Thursday, October 25th
Last year Spectacle teamed up with filmmaker/professor/diet root beer aficionado Roy Frumkes (Street Trash) for an evening filled with laughs, screams, melty hobos, and ice cream gangsters. This year, we welcome the man himself back for another evening of fun.
This year, Frumkes will be presenting THE DEFINITIVE DOCUMENT OF THE DEAD, a film 35 years in the making. From it's humble beginnings on the set of DAWN OF THE DEAD and pretty much ever since, this documentary chronicling the zombie legacy of George Romero has taken a number of forms. Believed to be the first "making of" to cover an independent film, The Document of the Dead has grown and changed over the years to become the version it is today. This new cut (at an hour and forty-two minutes) is chock full of new footage has yet to be seen anywhere else! Also, Roy will be bringing another smattering of secret shorts and surprises to spring on the unsuspecting crowd. Followed by a Q&A, which if last year was any indication, is worth the price of admission alone. Not to be missed!
