2001 – 2005
Woman: Nicole Kersten
The film bases upon a an autobiographical narration. By having a look at the history of my family, I tried to find a position in the today. A today, where the present is perceived as a possible intersection of past and future. 9 o´clock and 39 minutes -that´s for the month
september in the year 1939, where germany attacked poland and released the second world war.
It´s the history of my grandmother, my mother´s and my own history, which develop evident
parallels in the film. A young woman wakes up and steps into the kitchen to prepare herself a cup of coffee - and is catched up by images, which seize the now. The experience of war is transported alongside the traces of generations and the recollection of it stays physically present - painful.
