This one-minute video was made in September 2012 in Berlin, Germany as part of the competition "25" to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam IDFA. IDFA has been a big supporter of my work, and I made this little film as a token of my appreciation for all the people who make IDFA a very special place.
The film was shot on a Panasonic Lumix GH-2 with a 14-140 zoom lens. My sixteen-year-old son Jakob composed the music. He developed the themes on the piano, and then composed all the parts on Garage Band. Editing was on Final Cut X.
Many thanks to Topper and Katja Sherwood for inviting us over to their garden, where we shot the film with our kids and the children of some of their friends.
