Testing the Gorillapod Focus as a cheap and easy shoulder support workaround for the Canon 5D Mk II.
In relation to this thread:
Lens used was a Nikon 28-135mm f3.5-5.6. Without the Gorillapod this footage would be pretty unusable due to rolling shutter and micro camera shake.
I was not trying to be steady. I tried to be fairly exuberant with the movements to put the thing through its paces. It's possible to get it steadier than this if you try.
Since starting that thread above, I got a Canon 28-135mm with image stabilisation and it seems to be the best solution of all. I still think the Gorillapod is great for the non-IS lenses.
I should add that the shutter speed was probably very fast here - well above the norm.
