This reading was given by the poet Alyson Hallett and physical geographer Chris Caseldine. They read from their latest book '6 Days in Iceland' which combines poetry, geographical text and photographic images. Unusually, you will be invited to encounter Iceland through the words of a poet and a scientist, and to glimpse the ways in which two seemingly different fields of study inform and enrich one another. This is the first time that a poet and a geographer have visited Iceland on a field-trip and then written up their findings into the same book. In this sense, it is probably more accurate to say that you are being invited to encounter the various Icelands that Alyson and Chris have met and explored.
There will be time for questions following the reading. This event is free and open to the public.
