This is a really cool set of footage I got on the set of a Navy recruiting video in which my step-dad's company was featured. They hired a pretty big set of people that had previously worked on the set of Terminator Salvation, including the Director of Photography, Shane Hurlbut. (Yes, the guy Christian Bale yelled at.) The whole shoot was directed by Mike "Mouse" McCoy (Dust to Glory) and Scott Waugh (Step Into Liquid, Dust to Glory). The whole day was cool just from the people I got to meet and talk to. The Bestboy Grip, Matt Siess, showed me the ropes awhile and gave some insight what it's like working in the industry. Another cool part of the day was seeing them use Canon 5D's to shoot. Shane Hurlbut even had a new set up where his glasses were his monitors for the camera. There's so much to talk about that day I can't really think of what to write. Ask any questions you can think of.
Oh! I also got to play with that $185K jib arm and gyro mounted head with the Arri film camera on. Almost shit my pants. Thanks for watching.
