How often do you find lovers as fun as these two? Heck, even a Donna Cruz classic was resurrected in their SDE! Here's Venus and Allan teaching us a thing or two about what happens "kapag tumibok ang puso".
Venus and Allan first heard the dub-dub-dub-dub of the heart back in 2002 when Venus was looking for a text mate, and Allan responded. The two got to talk more often and realized that they have already met years before through a common friend who introduced them to each other. In no time, the hearts began to beat in sync, and as Donna Cruz says, "wala ka nang magagawa kundi sundin ito." Before they graduated, Allan became Venus' first (and yes, last!) boyfriend.
The next years followed with some hard-hitting trials. Venus got sent to Italy to join her family and she and Allan had to put up with the pains of long distance relationship. Admittedly, Venus believed she was not strong enough for challenges such as this. But Allan refused to give up. Together, they fought and prayed through the hurdles of distance. Their relationship strengthened and deepened, being rooted more in the Lord. For all these years, it was what sustained Allan and Venus, and she follows, "Siguro ang isa sa natutunan namin about our relationship is yung pag-alalay namin sa isa't isa, at si God being at the center of our relationship," she continues, "We're very thankful because God is always there for us. Because of Him, lahat ng plans namin natupad."
With a heartfelt civil union in 2009 and a meaningful Christian wedding in 2012, Allan and Venus now live the miracle of God's love. It was that love that made their heart beat with that first text, with that first long-distance call, and with that sweet "I do". By God's grace, it will be that same love that will sustain them as they begin their lives together.
Here's a sweet SDE to mark that special day! Dio vi benedica, Allan and Venus! Here's to more love and tibok ng puso!
