On a late summer day, we took two of the new prototype Bullet IK Pods down Washington's White Salmon river to see how they handled. The result? A great, fun day, paddling class III. The pods are wider than most IK's, and require a 195 paddle- with the tradeoff of increased stability and a more spacious interior. They have an inflating lumbar support that feels like a couch and puts you where you need to be to paddle well. No more flimsy seats with straps and buckles that loosen! The diminished tubes mean you need to dress to get wet, but there's nothing more enjoyable than plowing into a bubbling hole of whitewater and feeling yourself rise out of it. Great day on the IK! Thanks to GoPro and Mtis.
