As Prague became the center of the Empire during the reign of Charles IV, so it also became an important center of European art. Royal and aristocratic commissions attracted a multitude of artists from North Italy through the German provinces to France. In the next lecture on the Faces of Prague, I present this thriving, sophisticated Gothic art in the form of a virtual guided tour in the medieval exhibition of the National Gallery of Prague.
A Zoom lecture in English. Write me for a free entrance code at firstname.lastname@example.org . For the program of the complete course, see facebook.com/studiolumatwang/posts/4449885811694618
