16 POINT CARDS WITH SPOT GLOSS
Here is an example of Clubcard’s Spot Gloss on our 16 point coated cardstock available on our offset print runs. When we say a card is 16 points it means the card is 16/1000 of an inch thick; as a reference most cards are printed on a 12 to 16 point card-stock.
Adding spot gloss which is also called spot varnish to your cards is an excellent way to feature or highlight areas of your artwork or to provide a unique pattern or finishing layer over top of your full colour print. This premium option is a really unique addition to designs and it can also act as a great security feature preventing easy duplication of limited edition or value added items like membership cards or tickets.
Please be sure to click on the “File Preparation” tab for notes on the best practices and standards for designing your cards. We also have a live online chat available during business hours where you can get expert advice from one of our project managers. You can also check out Clubcard.TV to watch our free graphic design tutorials that walk you through the design and set-up process for all of our products.
