In Australia we have some passionate and talented language teachers - but not enough of them. We also have a "Monolingual Mindset" which means that most of us really don't expect to actually master any language but English.
Of course, since we don't expect to succeed, mostly we don't try very hard, so we don't succeed, so we don't expect to succeed next time and so on. We need to do something different to break up out of this rut! We aren't really any dumber than Europeans or Africans or any of the other people who normally speak more than one language.
So, here's the plan - let's offer our kids the easiest language first, then they'll have confidence and skills to succeed when they get to choose a full-sized one.
I made the video and my daughter sang the soundtrack. There are pictures in it of primary school kids all over the world who are learning Esperanto to build up a picture of how people and cultures are everywhere else, and building language skills while they are at it.
I hope you like it.
