HMC Architects created an interactive sustainability education program for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students at McKinley Elementary School that focused on energy, water, and waste. Students from Venezuela used Skype to participate with McKinley students in the workshops. The goal was to provide students with a global perspective of environmental issues and to give them practical suggestions on how they can build a better planet for all. In addition, a book is being published to share the program with teachers throughout the California and the US.
