Approximately 400 tons of cocaine are produced every year in Colombia. Nearly 40-percent of the yearly production, worth more than $7.5 billion, is seized by anti-narcotics officers like Agent Carlos Torres. While the majority of cocaine slips past Colombia’s anti-narcotics division, Torres says the state has improved its investigation methods. This video shows a seizure in which Torres found more than 2,000 pounds of cocaine, hidden in a banana shipment ready for export.
