Congressional candidate Wayne Powell, running against Eric Cantor, got some help this month from the big guns. And I don’t mean the NRA. Grammy winning bluegrass singer Dr. Ralph Stanley and his band, the Clinch Mountain Boys (from “O Brother, Where Are Thou?”), campaigned with Powell for a two-day barnstorm tour across the 7th district.

Powell has been criticizing Cantor, the House Majority Leader, for not spending time in the district and for focusing efforts on fundraisers in other parts of the country. Powell’s campaign named the tour ”O Cantor, Where Art Thou?”
