Keep the discussion from church this week going with these questions:
What were some of the hard circumstances people in the Bible had? and how did these people show they trusted God?
What are some hard circumstances we have? How can we (or do we) show that we trust God?
What are somethings that God says He is that you can trust?
If you need some truth of who God is check out these verses below:
God is loving (Lamentations 3:22:23 "The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.")
God has a plan (Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.")
God cares (1 Peter 5:7 "Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.")
God is near (Psalm 145:18 "The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth.")
God is good (Psalm 145:9 "The Lord is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation.")
God is trustworthy/faithful (1 Corinthians 1:9 "God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.")
God sees us/hears us (Psalm 38:9 "You know what I long for, Lord; you hear my every sigh.")
God doesn't change or lie (Numbers 23:19 "God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?")
