In early October 2012, the Oslo String Quartet visited well-known architect firm Snøhetta for an office concert that featured a highly varied repertoire: Dvorak’s Humoresque, Blacksmith's Reel (trad), Rolf Wallin’s Curiosity Cabinet, Alexander Rybak’s Eurovision-winning hit Fairytale as well as Neal Hefti’s The Kid From Red Bank. Watch as violinists Geir Inge Lotsberg and Liv Hilde Klokk, viola player Are Sandbakken and cellist Øystein Sonstad move virtually effortlessly through complex and varied arrangements of tunes not necessarily associated with a string quartet and in a venue that’s far from a standard concert hall.
'Live at The Office' is a live concert series presented by the Music Information Centre Norway and NRK, the national Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation. For a series of intimate concerts, MIC invites musicians to perform on an unlikely stage for a live concert; the office. Watch intimate video performances of your favorite Norwegian artist, recorded live at MIC’s Oslo office or in selected locations throughout the country.
