Hart Square is a _one-day-a-year-only_ re-creation of life in 1840s Carolina. The centerpiece is the Hart Square village, a collection of 90+ original, authentic, log structures. These buildings, etc., have been aggregated over the years by Dr. Robert Hart, on a beautiful 250-acre site in southern Catawba County. He, his family and friends have, over time, found these various log structures around the Southeast; then, dis-assembled, transported, re-assembled them, and furnished them according to their function. Docents and re-creators bring Hart Square to life - on ONE SPECIAL DAY EACH YEAR. Even this video can't adequately convey the utterly delightful Hart Square experience....
