In 2011 the artist Caroline Locke was invited to extend her research into interactive technologies as part of an artist residency at Yorkshire Sculpture Park, UK.
Caroline Locke is one of the UK’s most innovative interdisciplinary
artists and is internationally renowned for her sound sculptures and work
combining new and old technologies.
Sound Fountains brings together research from the last ten years. Sound
waves move through water allowing the spectator to experience the
sight of sound. This is an interactive installation, which enables the
audience to trigger different sound sequences, build their own soundscapes
and explore the waveforms made on the water surface.
