German immigrant John Linden must bring his dead brother’s wife and young sons across the rugged wilderness of 19th-‐century Pennsylvania. When the little boys mysteriously go missing, the pioneer community first supports, then suspects the young couple. John and Flora continue their search until a brutal attack provokes an unexpected test of faith.
