In 1992 the village of Kevljani, North West Bosnia, was engulfed in a wave of violence unleashed by Serb nationalist forces. Many of the villagers were to suffer and die in concentration camps, the rest were expelled from their homes and made refugees.
This film examines how they are rebuilding their lives and homes whilst their former neighbours and friends in the Serbian villages all around them remain in denial about what happened. Many people remain missing, their bodies unclaimed. In this small corner of North West Bosnia over 1000 persons remain unaccounted for.
Film maker Kemal Pervanic is the author of the acclaimed book "The Killing Days" about his experiences as a survivor of the Omarska concentration camp. He is a native of Kevljani.
