Just a quick test of the timelapse capabilities of the new GoPro Hero3 Black.
12MP stills on a 2 sec. intervalometer setting, Protune Off, Auto WB.
Graded slightly in LR, rendered in AE with a couple of deflicker options, and sped up to 450% in PP
Pretty impressed with the quality of the images, the dynamic range is ridiculously good in my opinion and again I think the shutter algorithms that they use to bramp in changing light conditions is better than anything else I have used.
Next time I have to remember to set the WB now that we can :)
All in All this latest rendition of the GoPro Hero series is the most improved and really amazing value for money!
You can't go wrong with a waterproof 4K (okay realistically Full 1080p HD) camera, with the option to shoot a whopping 240fps in 480p SD (which looks pretty darn good), be damn fine timelapse camera, have professional color profiles, and the ability to stick just about anywhere you want! Well worth the US$400-!
