This video is meant to show how to use roadkill within 3d applications like xsi and maya.
Roadkill is a freeware plugin, which I find very useful to compliment the 3d package native set of uv tools.

The nice feature about this plugin is that it works from within the app, not needing to export the mesh to a third party plugin and then to reimport it to the 3d app.

Roadkill offers the posibility of using their own uveditor but this can be also disabled,
to only use the uv solving algorithm, to correctly unwrap the mesh into uv shells and further tweak (heal, sew the uv islands/shells) inside the 3d app itself.
