This video highlights Smart Growth Commission, which developed a comprehensive set of recommendations on how the City can best sustain its economic, environmental, and social health. The Commission is one of four the Mayor and City Council convened in 2008 to address the areas most critical to municipal finances: smart growth, personnel costs, sanitation, and housing and homeownership.
The six-minute clip is part of a 30 minute video on Civic Engagement opportunities in the City of Binghamton. The video is the second in a four-part series on how citizens can utilize resources at the City. A video on Finance was released on May 16th, and videos on housing and internet-based resources will be released in the coming months.
The administration of Binghamton Mayor Matt Ryan has been committed to open government since the beginning, and this video series is another way of keeping that promise.
Thanks for staying informed and engaged.
