Pakistan’s forest cover is fast shrinking, with no substantial efforts at the government level to check deforestation. However, For Pakistan, agroforestry – or growing crops together with trees – may be one answer. Environment expert Pervaiz Amir says agroforestry could help invigorate Pakistan’s ailing forestry sector, soften climate change impacts and diversify farmers’ income.
