Dr. Melissa Gee, a family medicine physician at Mid-Valley Comprehensive Health Center, shares her inspirational story of growing up in a multi-cultural family and realizing her dream of becoming a physician. Despite numerous obstacles she graduates from Cal State Fullerton, with a major in Biology, then completes her medical education at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and residency training at UCLA Department of Family Medicine. She credits her mentor Dr. David Drath as vital to her success. Dr. Gee offers some key advice to getting into medical school, and most importantly serving our community.
