The Edge Hill Abel 1833 Cabernet Sauvignon from Mt. Veeder reflects the unique terroir, vintage, and history of this heritage vineyard site. Located at over 1600 feet in elevation, the Abel 1833 vineyards have come to fruition with the inaugural vintage of this beautifully complex wine.

Dating back to 1833, Abel Mignon was the homesteader and steward of the land, which was originally planted as an apple orchard. Leslie Rudd's reverence for sites of historical significance inspired us to renovate this property, planting meticulously farmed vineyards, orchards and crops that pay homage to the farming spirit of Abel.

With its steep hillsides and precise row spacing, the Abel 1833 Vineyards are certainly a challenge to farm. A true expression of powerful mountain fruit, the Abel 1833 Cabernet Sauvignon strikes a balance between power and elegance, while maintaining seamlessly integrated tannin structure and moderate levels of acidity. We are extremely proud to share this limited and unique wine with you.
