PBB, a flame retardant chemical, is not fit for consumption.
In mid-Michigan in 1973 a grain chemical was accidentally mixed in with cow feed & consumed by over 30,000 dairy cows.
The slow & painful affects on the cows caused many of them to die. Others were rounded up into pits, shot dead & buried. Hundreds of farmers lost their livelihood and still over 40 years after the poisoning people are still talking about this disaster, how it still affects them & how the environment in mid-Michigan will never be the same.
This Detroit Free Press story & the video received lots of attention bring the topic back to the forefront.
In June of 2012, this video that was shot, produced & edited by Eric Seals (email@example.com) won him a Michigan Emmy.
