I don't remember who said this, but to me it became very obvious that this is true when watching this video of myself, performing for the first time ever as a conductor for a concert audience. I have never received a proper education in this and am trying to teach me stuff myself. Seeing this video, I am struck by all the small technical conducting details that I suddenly use without that I ever earlier have consciously done so. It is evident that it cannot be me who is conducting. It is you, my great choir-conducting friends, who one by one appear in front of my inner eye and inspire me to do the right thing at the right time. Thank you for sharing yourself with me.
