This video shows a timelapse of the installation of our purposely designed indoor aquaponics system for a community learning centre in Minamisanriku in northern Japan. This is a region that was really devastated by the earthquake and tsunami in 2011.
This video shows 8hrs of work compressed into just 1 minute. The system uses a heavily modified IKEA wardrobe for the base unit and then has been designed to show a media filled growbed and a floating raft aquaponics system. We designed it to be as easy to manage as possible, and to use components that were readily available... right down to the yoghurt pots being used in the floating raft.
