Underexposed is a women's skateboarding documentary directed by Amelia Brodka.
After seeing an advance test-screening of Underexposed, Armando de la Libertad approached Amelia Brodka about creating a contest that would benefit clients of a Human Options, an organization fighting domestic abuse. Together with a dedicated team of volunteers they created the only women-only pro and am bowl and vert contest, where Alana Smith made history by becoming the first female to land a 540 in a competition.
The ladies showed how far their level has risen in the YMCA bowl with young ams like Arianna Carmona and Mikayla Sheppard stepping it up, soon to nip at the heels of Julie Kindstrand, Lizzie Armanto and Allysha Bergado.
