Analog/Digital, an exhibition of 20 paintings and videos created by Reese Inman, a recent Graduate of University of Maine’s MFA Intermedia Program, is on display in UMA's Danforth Gallery, located in Jewett Hall on UMA's Augusta campus until November 30th 2012.
Inman focuses her work on language, the construction of meaning, mobility of information, and how these interests intersect in our everyday lives.
The exhibition has two parts. The first part, Remapping videos, is a series of videos that move between legibility and abstraction by using footage of an existing space with visual surface of a second space as a palette. The second part, algorithm map paintings, consists of handmade copies of digitally generated images.
