Take a look at some of the beautiful bird species photographed by the team’s ornithologists, and learn why this survey was one of their most diverse bird inventories ever! This is the eigth installment in a ten-part series of video reports documenting The Field Museum’s expedition to the Amazon lowlands.
The Museum’s Rapid Inventory Program brings together biological and social information to create a roadmap for practical, long-lasting, and locally-supported conservation. During October of 2008, an international team of scientists led by Dr. Corine Vriesendorp of The Field Museum surveyed the Cuyabeno-Güeppí region where Ecuador, Peru, and Colombia meet.
