In this demo we show how users log onto domain-joined computers with HYPR, how it works, and its impact on your business.
After logging in, open the Workforce Access application on your desktop. Once the application loads, click the “Start Pairing” button to generate a QR code. Then go to your smartphone and open the HYPR mobile app, click on the “SCAN QR” button.
Once you scan the provided QR code, your mobile device will ask for your face or fingerprint to complete the registration. When you’ve successfully paired your device, there will be a new QR login option on the mobile app. Click “Finish” and close the client. You’ll now want to give HYPR a test run.
First, lock your computer. When you’re at the login screen, go to your HYPR mobile app and select the QR option. Once you Scan the QR code with your device, you will be granted access to your computer. Now, you can login into any computer in the same domain with a simple QR scan.
Now let’s go over how a user logs into a domain joined computer. First, the user launches the HYPR mobile app and scans the QR code on the lock screen. Then they perform a FIDO-certified authentication with the HYPR server. Once successful HYPR initiates a true passwordless login into the user’s computer with their certificate. At this point, HYPR’s lightweight client installed on the Windows workstation authenticates the user to the Active directory domain and gives the user access.
