Siena Art Institute produced this video to introduce the project and invite the public to seminars organized by Bureau for Open Culture as part of L’ECLISSE redux. L’ECLISSE redux is a research exhibition by that draws on the filmic spaces and activities of Michelangelo Antonioni’s film L'eclisse as a means to examine postwar urban development and contemporary social life in Siena. A selection of stills are extracted as frameworks for looking at topics such architecture, alienation, urbanization, love and economy as they relate to the area's recent history.
