A day in the life of a group of young friends on a hot spring day in London.
Film should make you smile, its a happy film about young people in which no gets stabbed or shot. ATJ is not trying to be a big urban epic, its a a small independent short film at its finest,. This is an original and refreshingly jolly look at life on the streets from the perspective of a group of 19-20 year olds, free of any cynicism. Sprinkled with a cool zesty selection of music including Ray Baretto, Phylis Dillon & Lulu giving the film its distinctive personality. The film had no budget and no real equipment so we shot geurilla style using the backdrop of London to add to the production value. The film is audaciously shot in real time, in one spectacular tracking shot to capture the realism and energy of the moment. Some influences include: Slacker, Elephant, Cleo from 5 to 7, Kids, I am Cuba, Dazed and Confused, Rude Boy, Mean Streets.
