You've heard of how they treat Kobe beef....well this is the equivalent for turkey at Thanksgiving. To truly ensure that your bird is moist and juicy, give your turkey a little olive oil and herb rub down, which will certainly do the trick!
To make the rub:
In a bowl, combine a healthy drizzle of olive oil, a pinch of sea salt, a pinch of black pepper, and your herbs. (I like to use rosemary and thyme, which I finely chop. You can also add in some flat leaf parsley too)!
Using your hands, massage the oil and herb spread all over the bird, paying particular attention to crevices and the space between the skin and the meat.
*Hint: you can even take a little butter, warmed to room temperature, and leave little bits in between the skin and the meat of the bird. The butter will melt upon cooking the turkey in the oven...and it will melt right into the turkey meat. Mmm.*
