This work features the fifth Platonic solid, the dodecahedron. Plato is reported to have said that it was used by the gods "for arranging the constellations on the whole heaven." Most of the visual layer of this piece was generated with Jitter from a Hubble telescope image of the nebula ngc2080. The music was generated on a Kyma system and features an extended melody for a digitally re-synthesized hybrid of central Asian woodwind instruments. It is tuned in 7-limit just intonation.
