What is the "Habeas Corpus"? It is the legal action which requires a person under arrest to be brought before a judge or into court.
Emilio Marchi, Argentine businessman of Italiandescent, was illegally arrested by the military in the months preceding the 1976 coup. After 19 months of prison and torture, and vainly appealing the Habeas Corpus, he was exiled to Italy for more than six years. In 1984 he returned to his home country, where he founded the NGO "Jardin de los ninos", now the biggest in the province of Misiones.
This short film/trailer is the story of a moment in Emilio's life, the arrest, told through the eyes and the words of other people.
