EOSHD Blackmagic Cinema Camera review: eoshd.com/content/9186//blackmagic-cinema-camera-review
A bit about the making of this video which isn't in the blog...
Shot on a very overcast dull day in November in about 2 hours, I had with me the Blackmagic Cinema Camera and Switronix PB70 external battery. Just a tripod, no real handheld rig. Yet to hook up my Wooden Camera cage or grab the ReWo BMCC cage. Will cover these soon on EOSHD.
Shot in Berlin, this is a great article about the location: residentadvisor.net/feature.aspx?1272
Located along the river Spree, the abandoned theme park features in the Cate Blanchett film Hanna. Amazing location but beginning to fall apart now and has been closed for over 10 years to the public since the theme park went bankrupt. Norbert, the owner of the defunct business now lives in a trailer on the park. Occasionally the park is a venue for artists, DJs, films and cultural projects.
I used an audio FX library for everything you hear apart from the grinding steel of the rotating ferris wheel which was captured in-camera on the Blackmagic! Maniacal voiceover is an excerpt of Bright Eyes, "The Firewall" and the choir singer is "Jim's Parents" from the sound track of 28 Days Later.
I used Resolve to grade the shots, then rendered the almost complete edit out to Premiere where I fine tuned a few things in the edit and built the audio track.
