A quick exploration into using cloth simulations in Cinema 4D to tear apart geometry. Derived from a technique I learned from greyscalegorilla.com ( greyscalegorilla.com/blog/2012/01/explode-and-shatter-with-cinema-4d-with-cloth-dynamics/ ). Rendered out of C4D with global illumination and ambient occlusion, and finished in After Effects with some sound effects and tweaks using Magic Bullet Looks.
