Bachelor Thesis 2012 | Informationdesign | University of Media Stuttgart
The media urban development is steadily gaining ground. Projection mapping, as a way of generating architectural media facades, has become a part of urban life. Nowadays the use of projection mapping is mostly economical. One goal of this work is to investigate the possibilities of projection mapping as a medium of knowledge transfer beyond the advertising messages. Another highlight of this work is to develop with the help of the projection mapping, a data visualization in the urban space in order to raise people‘s awareness of noise settings in the public city environment. In this case there is revealed the volume of the noise‘s sources, especially the current traffic noises, and their effects on the human body.
Created with After Effects CS6 for the datavisualization of the noise sources and their effects on the human body and Resolume Arena 4 for the realtime animation of the current traffic noises.
