VANANH presents her first single 'Libertango', from her first classical-crossover record 'Tonalita', set for release Dec 2 at the Sydney Opera House (iTunes release Dec 3, 2012)

For this video, VANANH collaborates with HOUSE OF EZIS in a unique live-fashion-design / music-video, featuring her unique arrangement of Libertango, originally composed by Astor Piazzolla.

Producer / Director: Cam Gould
Clothing Designer: Andrzej Pytel
Music: Van-Anh Nguyen's 'Libertango' (Video Edit)

Director's Statement: "The Libertango video is a dance between a classical performer and a fashion designer. It is a tango of not only music, but of fabric, shape, form and human interaction. I wanted the fabric in the video to be shown as having a life of it's own, reflecting Andrzej's unique method for working with fabric. The process of creation, the music, fabric, and characters are all completely interwoven."

Musician's Statement: "The tango is the ultimate dance of love and passion. Instead of a typical couple dancing, I wanted to employ my love of music and couture fashion by collaborating with Andrzej (founder and creative director of House Of Ezis). The playing of fabric, the making of a couture gown from scratch 'on' me and the decisions made of how the dress was to turn out was completely spontaneous, similar to how an organic relationship would transpire. This culminates in the final product, coinciding with the build and climax of the piece."

Designer's Statement: "Let’s not forget that the most important thing about this collaboration was the time spent together."
