Because of their sensitive skin, Hippos spend hot days in the water or mud holes. During dry seasons these crowded conditions can cause fights that leave scars. They come out and feed on the vegetation in the evening and during the night. They are clumsy on land, but are fast for their size (can run up to 36 km per hour.) Each Summer we lead a custom tailored Safari to Africa. For more information about our next trip email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
