Video mapping technology creates a dynamic link between the projection surface - often architecture - and the video content itself. By employing mapping technology a regular video projection can go beyond the conventional expectations of an audience. Objects can appear to float out in front of the screen, or the actual architecture can appear to transform and crumble to the ground. For this reason video mapping is often referred to as "3D Mapping". These 3D illusions are created by calculating architectural geometry, audience viewing angle and projector placement parameters.
