He traveled 1000's of miles to fulfill a life long dream. A stranger drifting into a town that he had dreamed about visiting for three decades. Now after 30 years, Regan wanted to give something back to RAMBO TOWN, "A quiet little town" that had made him feel so warmly welcome, and is definitely NOT boring!
At the First Blood 30th anniversary celebrations hosted in Hope BC, Regan along with a choice few, were awarded with a sculpture that were made from remnants of the Kawkawa lake bridge, which was featured in the movie First Blood. Regan was very honored and was elated that he was chosen to accept such a rare and sentimental movie keepsake. Although Regan knew this to be one of the ultimate Rambo memorabilia collectors prizes! , but he wanted it to mean something a little more than just that. He wanted it to benefit the local community, who opened their doors and back yards not only to the actors and production team of the First Blood movie some 30 years prior, but to the hordes of fans that had decended on Hope for the 30th.
He along with Inge Wilson of The Hope Visitor Center, Brian McKinney of The Hell's Gate Airtram, and Riley Forman of Travel the canyon.com all decided unanimously to auction the sculpture off on eBay this coming December to help the Fraser Canyon Hospice in regards to Camp Skylark frasercanyonhospice.org/campskylark.aspx
So if you want to acquire a piece of movie history, please bid generously.
