Sleeping With Strangers

A project by Nicolas Bloise. Made under the instruction of Wafaa Bilal, Photography & Imaging III: Multimedia, Tisch School of the Arts, NYU, Fall 2012.
Sleeping With Strangers is an examination of how strangers conduct themselves through the internet. Using Omegle.com, a site in which strangers are randomly assigned to view each other's live webcam feeds, as a medium for this exploration of human behavior, I decided to fall asleep for four nights whilst on the site, allowing complete strangers to intrude on my intimate and vulnerable eight hours of shut eye. This is a montage of what I discovered. I hope this project will promote discussion of internet privacy and responsibility.
