In Chukmuk's School Library, Santiago Atitlán, Guatemala, students have access to books and learn how to read and write through diverse literacy activities. They speak Tz'utujil, a mayan language and learn Spanish as a second language. Books are a vital support to their learning experience, since most adults in the community are illiterate.
